I am sure as many young girls do. I love nail art. When I was a young girl I always wanted to paint my nails although obviously wasn’t allowed all the time otherwise the teachers would have told me off in school! I have always painted my nails from back then to today. As I’m sure you have seen on my site I try to explain about how Art and Design helps me through my Epilepsy from being diagnosed to today. It first started just drawing with a pencil and paper and then I started getting more creative and trying out new colours, techniques and designs with my nails and drawing in general. I drew many designs although always thought I wouldn’t be able to put it on my actual nails. Luckily as being one of a big family my little sisters absolutely adored having a pamper session with me. I used to paint their nails with their favourite colours. Although it was very basic, it was the start of me wanting to design my nails.
When and whilst being ill I always needed something to pre occupy my mind with. So this is when I thought of designing and actually putting my designs on my nails. I do admit it, it did take a few tries to get the designs right but I did do it. It may sound silly to some people but it did make me feel a bit better about the way I was feeling at that point. It made me feel more feminine and I liked the way it showed my own Nail Art.
